Projects...Continued. Essay chats... Help chats... Final Meetings!?

Today in class we are finishing up final projects, essays, or anything else, and if you'd like to meet with me, please list your name on the board.

If you've brought a new essay or project entry for me to grade and don't want to wait, leave it and I'll give it back to you next class.  If you'd like to wait and grade it with me, please list your name on the board.

Argument Review and Project Introduction.

1.  Attendance-

2.  Journal-  Why is writing an argument essay valuable?

3.  Argument Review- Peer Editing Groups.  Please answer the questions below on the back of the paper you read, and while you read, please circle areas where you think there are mistakes.

1.  Is there an introduction?
2.  What's the writer's TAP?
3.  Write down the thesis, here:
4.  Does every paragraph have at least 2 facts?
5.  Do they use Logos?  Example:
6.  Do they use Pathos?  Example:
7.  Ethos?  Example:
8.  Is the essay interesting?
9.  Is this an A essay?
A. Are there at least 5 paragraphs?
B. Do they discuss and refute the other side?
C. Does the writer seem knowledgeable about the topic?
