C/C, editing.

Here's a sample C/C thesis-  BK has great food, service and facilities whereas MCD has tasteless food, lackluster service, and dirty facilities.

This appears as the last sentence of an introduction.  How would you outline the rest of the essay?  Hint-  there are three ways.  Two of the ways have 8 paragraphs, and one way has 5.

3.  Groups and reading.

Questions-

1.  Does this have a beginning, middle and end?

2.  Does it start in the middle of the action?

3.  Does the author use concrete words?

4.  Does the author describe using all 5 senses?

5.  Would others find this interesting?

6.  Did the author choose a 30 second or 1 minute moment to write about?

7.  Underline any places where you think there are mistakes.


3.  HW- Return to class on Monday with a Draft of your C/C essay.

4.  Read "Never Do That to a Book," and "The New Trophy Wife" in Patterns and answer the first group of questions for each. 

4.  HW-  Desc. Essay due on Friday.
